Everything looked fine, until it didn't. I guess ahck depends on which chips I have on the P5Q deluxe and what functions they perform which determines which drivers I need. Asus P5QE - won't boot in AHCI mode
Other than Graphics cards and sometimes special devices like certain storage controllers, Windows comes with very stable drivers. Apparently, I'm living proof here, with a machine that won't do the update until it does.
asu I was on a 17Gb partition and ahco sucked cause I could not update windows 7 anymore, now 25Gb which I thought was overkill. Mon Mar 12, Some updates require a restart.
